I'd like to disagree with some parts of this:  Aragog doesn't exactly count 
as a victory since he and Ron would have been Spider Chow if not for being 
rescued by the Ford Anglia; he did not actually ride Buckbeak in the book 
(movie contamination, although a really good scene!); and almost anyone does 
better with the Centaurs than Hermione did -- the only one worse was 
Umbridge. :)
