I know what you mean.  Our spies are good, their spies are bad.  But 
in this case, the "other" side is so bad, there doesn't seem to be 
any ambiguity.  

This reminds me of two things.  DD saying to Fudge, this is where we 
come to a parting of the ways.  (or something along that line) And 
my telling my teens, "If that's what your friends want you to do, 
they aren't your friends."

What bothers me, is this:  Hasn't Snape betrayed the children in his 
House?
