Snape as the HBP?

Therefore: Snape is the HBP!

Tooks:

It's a possibility... We know that - according to his memory - as a 
child he was witness to verbal and emotional abuse, but we don't know 
why and how often it occured...was his father ...

                                              ... A Muggle who agrees 
with the Dursleys/Riddle Snr's view of magic and his way to deal with 
this was to beat Snape and Mrs Snape. Thus the reason he was in 
Slytherin was his hatred of Muggles ( a la Tom Riddle) This also 
lends weight to the fact that Snape is the HBP but also that he will 
(irrespective of whether he is the HBP) will play a large part in the 
victor (HP/LV) victory.
