Well, I don't think that it was ever concretely pointed out that 
there was a sword in Dumbledore's office, so it's hard to say if it 
was there. Personally, I think Harry *did* just pull it out of the 
hat.

Adan, thinking the sortings were probably much more comfortable after 
that...
