Well, that's not entirely true. Tom Riddle aka Lord Voldemort was in
Slytherin and his father was a muggle, he's a half-blood. What the Hat says
is that at some point Slytherin didn't want muggleborns in  Hogwarts because
he found them untrustworthy. That doesn't mean that half-bloods or even
muggleborns can't be sorted in Slytherin.
