Thanks for that Lee! I, and several others here, have been searching 
for any and all clues to whether there is anything in the WW that 
parallels the concept of "royalty" in our muggle world. 

Score another evidence point in the positive column - the other 
evidences being the titles of some of the WW's ghosts, and 
Gryffindor's sword.
