I agree - everyone moans about their lives when there are those worst 
off than you, even when it's someone close to you.  Ron can't 
constantly go round thinking of Harry's difficulties and therefore 
putting aside anything in life that annoys him, that wouldn't be 
normal and in fact, would make him rather odd and really annoying.  

He also gets reminded of his family's lack of money by malfoy on a 
regular basis and this will also rub salt in this wound.
