My reply:
Actually, Pippin, the exact quote is:

"'I've been wanting that New Theory of Numerology for ages! And that
perfume's really UNUSUAL, Ron.'"

Now, according to the dictionary, these two words do not convey the
same thought:

UNUSUAL: Not usual, common, or ordinary.
INTERESTING: Engaging the attention; exciting, or adapted to excite,
interest, curiosity, or emotion; as, an interesting story;
interesting news.

Clearly, one is more impersonal than the other.

I would have preferred for Hermione to use the
word "interesting." "Unusual" was a bit too impersonal for my liking
(and this coming from a H/Hr shipper).

Peace,
Anasazi
