I didn't take it that way at all - I took it as a "verbal eyeroll", as in, 
"You're kidding me, right?  No, really, you've GOT to be..."  I personally read 
the emphasis as on "think" - as the kids say, "I...don't...THINK so!"

But I guess your reading will depend on whether you're wedded to the 
Snape-as-vampire theory - and personally, I'm not even on SPEAKING terms with it! <g>
