Replying to myself, yes, on rereading my post I feel it can be read that I was 
the original poster of those ideas, which I was not, of course, I just was 
discussing Percy's letter and letting others do whatever they wanted with 
that canon, but the post left opened possibilities for both.

That said, having done the descent into Yahoomort searching for my post, I
