All true. To me it's also reminiscent of the Addams Family, unless
I'm getting mixed up. They live in a similarly spooky, magic-filled
house, and I thought they had a Creature, but I just looked it up, and
instead they have Thing, the disembodied hand. It's the same kind of
name, though, and can also imply discrimination. Anyway, I'd almost
expect to find a sinister Creature in a house like that.
