Angie replies:  
In OOP, when asked by Umbridge, Snape himself affirms that he has 
applied regularly for the DADA position since he joined HW 14 years 
ago.  Snape suggests that Umbridge ask DD why DD has consistently 
refused to appoint him as DADA teacher.
