If you define the mystery as "has Snape wormed his way back into 
Voldy's good graces?" then you are right. But if you take as given 
that he had, then the mystery is "how did he do that?" which is IMO 
an even better mystery.

But I do believe that Snape didn't completely wormed his way back 
into Voldy's good graces. The proof: he didn't know about the plot to 
lure Harry to the DoM, and he wasn't ordered to do it himself, 
although from Voldy's point of view he was perfectly situated to do 
just that. So my guess is that in Voldy's mind, Snape is curently on 
probation. I could be completely wrong, of course. it's all 
speculation.
