Hmmm.  While that's possible, one would have thought JKR would mention this,
or someone would, as those that are Aurors are mentioned quite often by
multiple characters.  I am quite intrigued at the thought of one of them
being the DatDA teachers; my bet isn't on Lily it's on James in this case.
That would make the Snape factor much more dynamic, as Snapey-poo would want
a position he could have shown he himself was much better at than James was.
As for Lily, I'm thinking the DoM - an Unspeakable. She would have had the
ability to research and find the type of counter curse she used.
