Hmmm, interesting, but I'm not sure if it is really an option for Harry at this point.  Suppose Harry chooses to ignore the prophecy and not go after LV.  That does not mean LV will not go after him.  IMHO, both Harry and LV would have to choose to ignore the prophecy and that does not seem likely.
