Both times when Harry goes into the Pensieve, he is drawn back out by both DD and Snape. Did anyone else wonder how he was going to get out of there when he was first sitting in on the trial of the Death Eaters? I was concerned, because I imagined DD wouldn't be too pleased. But of course, he really didn't mind. Snape on the other hand... But if they hadn't come to take Harry out of their memory, would he be forced to stay there? In CoS, Riddle ends the memory and therefore I suppose Harry was expelled, his little silver strand had reached its end. Would that be what happened in both the instances of the end of the trial and the end of the day of school in Snape's memory? Or would Harry be trapped there for X amount of time, perhaps indefinitely? Just wondering, guys, and would like to hear your theories.
