Crookshanks

Anyone else feel that Crookshanks was robbed in the POA movie?  I always thoroughly enjoy the Crookshanks portions of the book, and while I realize portions had to be cut, I was hoping that at least that orange paw would show up on the whomping willow : (  I also get the feeling that Crookshanks might come into similar play later on in the series.
