Except that setting the serpent at the zoo free isn't Harry's
first act of wizadry, nor is it his first conscious act of Wizardry.
Examples of earlier "unconscious" wizardry include making his hair
grow overnight and shrinking an ugly, too-large, hand-me-down
jumper/sweater of Duddly's that he didn't want to wear. His first
conscious act of wizardry, of course, didn't occur until after he
arrived at Hogwarts.
