  Lily's Wand was "very good for charms" and charms, according to 
the Hp lexicon, "are a type of magic spell concerned with enchanting 
an object to behave in a way that isn't normal for that object".

  I wonder if she might have surreptitiously used her wand on 
several of the male members of her year...
