I don't see people as rooting for Slytherin redemption. To do so
would be to admit they need redeemed, and we haven't even gotten
that far yet.
Apologizing for behavior while trying to drag down Harry's behaviors
to some level of moral equivalency -- He was mean to the Creevey
boys, so Draco can call Hermione a mudblood if he wants -- is not
hoping for redemption.
To have that, we'd have to have admission that the Slyths are
wrong. :)
