Susan now:
Ooh! that has great potential when linked up with Snow's "long lived" 
post about Lily, James and DD's protection spells.  Maybe Petunia had 
to be in on the whole family-blood thing for it to work.  Maybe if 
her parents were still alive, they'd have to be in on it as well.  
And need I say it?  Perhaps that's why not only James and Lily, but 
their parents are dead so young as well.  Perhaps even another 
connection between DD and Petunia.  Hmmm.
