Ok, we all know what Percy's been like in all the books.  Here's what 
I have to offer.
In CoS (4:58) the trio and families are in Diagon Alley getting their 
school supplies, and the three of them wander into a junk shop and 
see Percy reading "Prefects Who Gained Power" 
 "'A Study of Hogwarts prefects and their later careers,' Ron read 
aloud off the back cover.  "That sounds _fascinating..."
  then... "'Course, he's very ambitious, Percy, he's got it all 
planned out...He wants to be Minister of magic..." Ron told H/H...\

Just thought I'd point out the title and the blurb Ron read off the 
back.  Prefects from Hogwarts who gained power.  Hmmm.  I personally 
want Percy to redeem himself, but regardless if he does or not, maybe 
he'll go even further before that happens.  Maybe he'll make a real 
move to gain power.  Perhaps the "Evil Temptress," whoever that might 
be, will try her luck with Percy.
