What you're left with is what happens when someone chooses what is
easy over what is right.
In my own version of that, Harry refuses to accept his
responsibility because it is easier that way. He's tired of it. He
refuses to fight. Voldy conquers. All because Harry chose what was
easy over the tougher route.
