The point of my post was that JKR mentions that we find out important
information about Lily in book 5 and 7, and that information is what
leads Harry to do something.

We know that James and Lily were not exactly on friendly term when the OWLs took place but married not too long afterward. We also know that there is more to the Evan's family than we know. There are many pieces to a puzzle. I think that HP is going to have to figure out the puzzle pieces and that is going to give him the "weapon" to go against LV. What those pieces are keep staying just out of reach. They will come together in Book 7.
How is that? Vague enough to make JKR proud??
