Justine responds:
True, he was playing with a Golden Snitch, but there is no canon 
that said he was always playing with one.  Also, JKR said herself, 
in a Scholastic online chat in October 2000, that James was a 
Chaser.  The idea that James was a Seeker, I think, is movie 
contamination.
