George, of course, is named for St. George, the dragonslayer, patron saint of
England. Pretty good name, if you ask me.
Fred(erick) takes us farther afield, to Frederick Barbarossa, the Germanic
version of King Arthur - that is, the great hero who sleeps until his country
has need of him again.
Both of them the defenders of their people...
