Well, not to be too trite here, and certainly not to apologize for 
Snape, but after reading this thread for a while, I just have to say 
how glad I am Snape terrorizes students and I hope he does it for a 
long time to come.  I can't imagine how boring these books or the 
Harry Potter universe would be without his vitriolic tantrums and 
grudges and pettiness!
