Harry, on the other hand, has been relatively detached regarding
Hermione. Maybe it's that I like the way Ron and Hermione seem to
keep each other in check.

If you feel that Harry is detached from Hermione then how is it
possible for you to see that they have developed "something."
Wouldn't they have grown closer than they were before? Thus, Harry
isn't detached from Hermione?
