To be honest, I have not read the entire thread, although I'm 
familiar with your posts on Snape's methods.  I do have one question 
about this teacher in particular.  (I think he is not too different 
from McGonagall either)  Does he have a wife and family?  I believe 
someone who uses this approach in a classroom is still capable of 
having a family life. (Although I might not want to be at the dinner 
table after report cards come home.)

Partly this goes along with the threads that wonder about which 
teachers at Hogwarts have or had families.
