I'm going to agree and say the character needs to be someone who has 
already appeared, otherwise why even think about naming the 
book "Half-Blood Prince"?

I did think of that but yet Tom Riddle is Voldemort. They are one 
and the same.

I do believe time travel is involved but let me say I don't believe 
time travel means Ron=Dumbledore. I don't. Harry is going to time 
travel and in the process it's Harry who messes with something he 
shouldn't have. It's Harry who causes more problems by doing so.
