I generally try to stay out of the SHIP discussions here, because I 
have pretty strong preferences and *for me* it's not worth fighting 
over.  

Anyway, your point about Hermione as Harry's conscience [aka 
superego] is precisely the point Pippin made in post #92329 as 
reason H&H are NOT good for one another.  I think Pippin has an 
excellent point, that it's *not* especially healthy in a 
relationship to have one party act "as" the conscience of the 
other.
