Interesting thought :-) Maybe it is already starting to happen at the 
end of OoP... Check out the quotes below. There's quite a change in 
who takes charge in the ending scenes in GoF and OoP; earlier Harry 
has been trailing along in the Dursley's wake; at the end of OoP it 
is the other way around. Might just be a coincidence, but it might 
also be a sign of a shift in power...

GoF:
"Harry ..., turned to Uncle Vernon, and *followed* him silently from 
the station."

OoP:
"He smiled, raised a hand in farewell, turned around and *led* the 
way out of the station towards the sunlit street, Uncle Vernon, Aunt 
Petunia and Dudley hurrying along in his wake."
