I guess Remus would have resigned even if Snape had NOT spilled the 
beans. Remus was horrified that something could happen again while 
being at Hogwarts as a teacher that might bring him to cause danger 
or put lives at risk.
That Snape talked and told his House of Remus' true identity was not 
the reason Remus decided to leave. Just my oppinion.
