Well, you're lucky ! There are quite a few things in my life that 
are not at all my choice. Depression, for example. I can choose to 
fight it, but I can't choose to have it or not.

I agree too. But I don't expect everyone else to agree, and I won't 
base my reasonings on the idea that everyone believes as I do.

Some people *do* get "high" on torture : look at Bellatrix, she sure 
seems to enjoy Cruciating people. Which is where personal ethics 
come into play : we mustn't do something just because it gives us 
pleasure. But when those ethics are warped, missing or have been 
silenced over time, only the instincts (biology) remain ...
