Carol, I agree with your take on Percy's motivation and 
misguidedness.  Maybe as you suggest, he will die redeemed in Book 7 
but, I think before that happens, his blindness and MOM ambition will 
lead to the death of one of his family members ( I think it will be 
Arthur) and then he will finally see the truth for what it is, 
recognize his awful miscalculations and join Dumbledore and Harry in 
all out war against V and anyone (like the MOM) who dares stand in 
there way.  I've suggested this before but never got a response.  I'm 
curious if anyone else agrees or thinks this idea is flawed...
