I happen to agree with you.  Just as Dumbledore couldn't find the proper time to explain the story behind the prophecy, the need for Occlumency, etc.     I don't foresee him having the time or even the thought to go to Godric's Hollow (unless perhaps the need arises) until perhaps the 7th book.   I don't see him defeating Voldemort and then the book ending.    I imagine we'll get either more information, a chapter or so of closing finality, "what will happen now, what did this all mean", etc. from JKR.
