Met_Ower:
If Hermione does have an early birthday, then there's the potential
of a "major" plot twist. If I remember it correctly, Hermione spent
almost a year (PoA) re-living days with the time turner. What if we
add up all of those days?

Is it possible that even if her official birthday was in September,
she'd turn seventeen biologically at the start of the summer? If the
apparating lessons are not given in school, she could be sneaky
enough to go learn apparating by herself, to surprise Ron and Harry.

If we don't hear about her at all during the next summer, or she
seems to be hiding something then that might just be it!
