Carol:
I don't understand how "carrying on the noble work of Salazar
Slytherin" would somehow "dirty his wand." Also, what about the much
later murder of the Muggle Frank Bryce?
Also, in response to part of your post that I snipped, if LV Imperio'd
Lily and she threw it off, it's very unlikely that he would have
called her a "silly girl." He'd have recognized her as a formidable
opponent and AK'd her then and there. But as we know, that didn't
happen. . . .
