Bobby: I agree.  I wouldn't be surprised by some romance if it is 
integral to the plot.  For example, maybe Ron will finally work up 
the nerve to ask Hermione out, and Harry will get jealous.  Not that 
Harry has shown any romantic interest in Hermione, but like when Ron 
got the Prefect badge: Harry hadn't thought about it but became 
jealous of Ron.  If Hermione and Ron start dating, Harry might 
ask "why didn't she pick me?" or "how come I don't have anyone?"  
That jealousy might lead to a break up in the trio -- which would be 
important to the development of the plot line.

I'm just saying there wouldn't be any gratuitous romance, as it were.
