I totally agree with both of you.  It is an adventure story, so that takes 
front stage with a romance like Harry's with Cho being just a small side plot.  
If, however, Hermione dates either boy, I don't think it will be that small of 
a side plot anymore.  Any dating has to affect the trio even if the second 
boy is 100% okay with it.  Two dating makes the third ,odd man out.
