This is the truth.  I've tried to write this post twice and it 
vanished!  So I changed the name, because vanishing was part of the 
post.

I'm a newby, but I did my homework, honest!  I looked up Mark Evans 
posts as listed recently in a different topic. I'm sure there must 
be even more somewhere.  But something has been nagging at me and I 
was wondering if anyone else was still interested in discussing 
young Mark? 
  
Once I read OoP and begain the series over, marks jumped out at me.  
They are all over the place! The Dark Mark on arms the Death Mark in 
the sky, Harry as being marked and having a mark, marks in classes 
(especially potions where sometimes it's along the line of  "Oops, 
no mark today?" sort of ironic now that I think about it.) There are 
names with variations:  Marcus Flint, Mars the planet (bright 
tonight) and of course Mark Evans.

So he could be the war king (Mark as a form of Mars, Evan as ruler)  
or he could be a vanishing mark [mark as in a blotch and evan as in 
vanishing (evanesco)] 

Will he make the mark go away?  Or will he go away? Which mark will 
vanish? Or will the mark rule?
