That's a comment I'd missed before. In the WW context, it seems very
unusual. Where we've had reference to the legal system, it seems that it's
almost the opposite that's the case: if you're charged, then your innocence
certainly _isn't_ assumed. You might get banged up without a trial (Sirius),
get off because you've got a nice smile (Bagman), or even with some support
and semblance of due process (Harry), face a hostile and biased bench.

But an assumption of innocence? No wonder Snape looks furious!
