Potioncat:
Neri, I hope I didn't come off as irate. I'm sorry if I did. This is
all in fun, mostly I was surprised. Another post came up with the
wand canon, although I'm not sure we're all reading it the same way.
(what else is new with this group?)
BTW I also have a science backgroud too, but in the medical
field...there's something more important than Chemistry? (with
laughter in voice)

Potioncat:
Oh, well, I didn't mean a silly little course like history! No,
actually I forgot that one which sort of disproves my statement about
them all being equal.
Neri:
Also note that the Potions class is down there in the cold dungeons,
instead of a roomy class in the third floor with a nice view to the
grounds.
Potioncat:
But that is to accomodate the vampire who teaches it.

Potioncat:
I really think potions, charms, and transfigurations are equally
important magic skills. Certainly individuals would have different
levels of talents within them. I'm not sure what DADA really is, it
seems like a specialized charms class to me.
Yes, Snape makes the statement, no silly wand waving, no foolish
incantations, some of you won't realize this is magic (paraphrased),
but it is magic. And as we see in classes it isn't easy.
Anyway, this is a lot of typing to answer a quesion on why DD was
teaching transfigurations! When the real reason is "Because JKR said
so."
Potioncat (no, I do not really think he's a vampire)
