Susan:
Other than the (admittedly very weak) possibility that, again, DD is
**allowing** Harry to be tested, to develop skills, I've not got a
clue.

Susan:
This is an EXCELLENT point, Eloise. I think as a group we spend
**so** much time thinking, analyzing, wondering, permutating [verb?],
a-ha'ing, theorizing, and looking for flints [what *is* the origin of
that word, btw?], that it's no WONDER we find gaps in logic or things
which don't seem to add up. In my book, given the sheer size of
canon, it's a wonder we don't find more!

Susan:
Can I show that I've likely got a bad case of movie contamination
here? [Eeeek!!] *Do* we know that Snape told Draco to use the
serpentsorcia spell [I've butchered that spelling]?? It's certainly
not clear in the movie and I don't have my book here to check.
Siriusly Snapey Susan...who's rushing out the door, so please forgive
boo-boos.
