Wow! Good observation, that had passed me by completely.  Perhaps Sir 
Patrick is one of Sturgis' long ago ancestors?   I know that we got a 
glimpse in OotP at the tangled nature of Wizard geneologies  and how 
many pureblood families are interconnected in ways that aren't so 
obvious on the surface:  for instance who would have thought Sirius 
was related to the Malfoys via Narcissa?
