Lupin's resentment/getting anything right

Well, now that I've read up on the FAQ and that Humongous Bigfile, I feel
somewhat confident that my first post here won't violate any rules. :)

Before I get to my reply, I'd just like to make a quick mention that this is
literally my first day on this list. My friend Melissa kept harping on me to
check out the books, which I (like so many others, I'd imagine) dismissed as
mere 'children stories.' I finally caved in and have not regretted a moment of
it.

I'd also like to say that from reading what I could of the archives and today's
60+ posts alone, I think I'm going to like this group. :) It looks like you
have a lot of good people here. Please forgive me if I mess up at any point
during my likely infrequent posts.  ^^;

>Sirius?

As someone else has mentioned, I imagine he volunteered to do it because he
could keep his temper better than Sirius could, especially after the
confrontations those two had already had.

Potioncat:
>And, did he ever talk to Snape?
>For the all the insistance
>that occlumency is important, there didn't appear to be any follow
>up.

I thought that odd myself, and kept waiting for some kind of mention of Lupin
and Snape's talk. I wonder if it will be brought up in the next volume or simply
dismissed; I have to believe the former, considering JKR has taken things that
at first appeared to be ignored but picked it up in later books.

Possibly. Myself, I gave up trying to guess what happens around the end of the
second book. I was tired of being wrong all the time. :)

(Although admittedly I did guess a few minor plots correctly in the fourth and
fifth books, but that's the best I can do. :)
