Well, I don't agree with some parts of the post that I snipped, but I 
agree with the above, with an exception.

Have you ever seen the look on a kid's face when he sees a 
particularly strict and disliked teacher who happens to be out with 
his normal wife and normal kids?  It's a shocking thought that the 
person who makes this child's life miserable, can be normal parent to 
someone else?

Or haven't you had a co-worker or superior who is absolutely horrible 
at work, but has a loving family he goes home to at the end of the 
day?

Ok, maybe Snape's home life would't be entirely normal....But a 
within certain bounds of acceptability?
