Carol:
I've wondered the same thing. My guess is that a well-aimed bullet
would do about as much harm to a witch or wizard as, say, four
stunning spells to the chest. It would send you to St, Mungo's but it
wouldn't kill you.
Harry fell fifty feet from a broom and only broke his arm, Neville was
dropped from an upper story window and bounced down the hill, Hagrid
is incensed by the idea that James and Lily could be killed in a car
accident, a burned witch in the Middle Ages enjoyed the tickling
sensation, ad infinitum. So, I could be wrong, but I think that a gun
("a kind of wand that Muggles use to kill each other") wouldn't kill a
witch or wizard. They're evidently hardier than Muggles as well as
longer-lived. I'm not so sure about a bomb, though, or germ warfare.
They seem as prone as Muggles to colds and flu. Maybe there's some
sort of terrible potion (or as yet unidentified curse) that could set
off a plague in which wizards as well as Muggles would die.
Carol, with apologies for ending her post on such a grim note
