Gomen-nasai, my mistake.

Point was--peaceful, 'one with the world' thought process (the most 'common'
understanding of Zen for non-practitioners) does not work in the situations
mentioned, other than to keep the practictioner calm (and respectful of Life
around them). So, my apologies to practitioners of the Zen Buddism methods
available nowadays...
