Jen: Thanks, Kathy & Toad! 

I ran across an interview last night where JKR says she threw out  
many chapters of PS/SS because they 'gave too much away'. Maybe that 
interview combined with the one Toad quoted AND the Kloves/JKR 
interview were all rolled together to get the rumor JKR said 
she 'nearly gave it all away' in COS.

Or maybe not....just trying to solve this mystery once and for 
all :).
